We swam together in middle school, and the pool wasn't closed down until then. We didn't really go to the ocean much! And I guess that was out of consideration for me. We had other places to visit if we wanted to swim.
[They didn't get to visit those places often, and it wouldn't be until high school again where they were really able to swim with each other again. But considering everything turned out fine, he felt guiltless enough leaving that part out.]
